Most databases are accessed through subscriptions. The library pays a licensing fee that grants access to specific groups: usually students, faculty and staff. RightNow Media, any database provided by the Tennessee Electronic Library, and open access databases are the only databases that give alumni access from off-campus.
First, you can check our list of resources available to alumni. You may be able to use an open access or TEL database for your research. You can also access all online databases at the Bryan College Library on main campus, by using one of our computer workstations. For further assistance, contact the library.
No, only current faculty, staff, and students can reserve library rooms.
Yes. Book requests are $3 each and article requests are free of charge. Access the ILL form here.
Yes. Area alumni with a valid, official photo ID may apply for a library card and check out up to five books at a time. View the library's complete policies here. Alumni privileges will be the equivalent of "community patron" privileges outlined in the policies.
