Resources available to our community patrons.

Community Patron Resources

Community Patron Hours:

Must check in at Stophel Welcome Center.

Monday-Friday - 8:00am-5:00pm

Weekday Evenings - By appointment only.

Weekends - CLOSED

The library is closed from 10:00am-11:00am every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during regular semester hours.

Community Patrons:

The library doors remain locked this semester. You may access the library through 1 of 2 ways.

  1. Curbside service (scroll down the page for more info)
  2. Check in at the Stophel Welcome Center to receive a visitor's pass for entrance into the library building during the Community Patron hours posted above.

Curbside Service

Pricing:
  • Free, but you must have a red community patron library card and matching photo ID to check out materials.
  • If you do not have a library card, you can fill out the form online here, or we can deliver a paper form to your car for you to fill out in person (must have a valid form of photo ID).
What we need from you:
  • Call (423) 775-7307 or email Library@bryan.edu to let us know the title of the book(s) (limit 5 at a time) or DVD(s) (limit 2 at a time) you would like to check out. Please contact us at least 2 hours ahead of the time you would like to pick the item(s) up so that we have plenty of time to get it/them for you.
  • To save time or perhaps a trip, you can check to see if we have the item available by searching for it in our online catalog.
  • Come to the library at the agreed upon time and call (423) 775-7307 to let us know you are here.
Delivery:
  • For your protection, a library staff member wearing gloves and a face mask will come to your car, collect your library card, verify that you have a matching form of photo ID, and go back inside to check the item out to you on our computer.
  • After checking the item out to you, the library staff member will deliver the item(s) to your car and let you know the due date.
Pricing:
  • Letter 8.5x11 (B&W/Color) - 10¢/20¢
  • Legal 8.5x14 (B&W/Color) - 10¢/20¢
  • Ledger 11x17 (B&W/Color) - 20¢/40¢
  • Note: we can only accept cash or check
What we need from you:
  • Call (423) 775-7307 or email Library@bryan.edu to let us know you need curbside printing service and arrange a time to come (must be within posted curbside service hours).

If you send it as an email attachment:

  • Email what you need printed as an attachment to Library@bryan.edu.
  • In your email, please include information about how many copies you need, if you need black & white or color, and on what size paper you want your copies made.
  • Come to the library at the agreed upon time and call (423) 775-7307 to let us know you are here.

If you bring a flash drive:

  • Come to the library at the agreed upon time and call (423) 775-7307 to let us know you are here.
  • A library staff person wearing gloves and a face mask will come to your car to collect the flash drive and your money .
Delivery:
  • For your safety, we will deliver your printed copies and change if due to your car window wearing gloves and a face mask.

  • Letter 8.5x11 (B&W/Color) - 10¢/20¢
  • Legal 8.5x14 (B&W/Color) - 10¢/20¢
  • Ledger 11x17 (B&W/Color) - 20¢/40¢

  • Come to the library at the agreed upon time and call (423) 775-7307 to let us know you are here.
  • A library staff person wearing gloves and a mask will come to your car to pick up what you need copied and collect your money.
Delivery:
  • For your protection, a library staff person will bring the requested copies and change if due to your car wearing gloves and a face mask.
Pricing:
  • Roll Lamination - 50¢ per foot
  • Full sheet (8.75x11.25) - 75¢ 
  • Half Sheet (6x9) - 45¢ 
  • Index Card (3.5x5.5) - 35¢ 
  • License (2 3/8 x 3 5/8) - 25¢ 
  • Note: we can only accept cash or check
What we need from you:
  • Call (423) 775-7307 or email Library@bryan.edu to arrange a time to come (must be within posted curbside service hours) and let us know which kind of lamination you will need. The roll laminator takes 20 minutes to preheat, and the small laminator takes 5 minutes to preheat.
  • Come to the library at the agreed upon time and call (423) 775-7307 to let us know you are here.
  • A library staff person wearing gloves and a face mask will come to your car to collect what you need laminated.
Delivery:
  • For your protection, a library staff person wearing gloves and a face mask will deliver your laminated materials to your car. Your money will be collected at this time and change will be given if due.
Pricing:
  • Free, but you must provide the paper
What we need from you:

  • Come to the library at the agreed upon time and call (423) 775-7307 to let us know you are here.
  • A library staff person wearing gloves and a face covering will come to your car to collect the paper you want cut.
Delivery:
  • For your protection, a library staff person wearing gloves and a face mask will deliver your die cut materials to your car.

Tennessee Electronic Library (TEL) Databases

Tennessee Residents: You have free access to any resource and database included in the Tennessee Electronic Library (TEL). TEL resources are available anywhere there is an internet connection. Click here for more information regarding TEL access.

Open Access

Open access resources are free to read on the open internet. They allow anyone to read and research, for free, from anywhere.

Friday - 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

We will not deliver curbside service requests to you after dark. Sunset is when curbside service ends.
